화이트카드는 별도 액정 디스플레이 창을 통해 신용카드를 고객이 선택한다. 전원 버튼을 누르면 ‘START’라는 표기가 들어오고, 잠금(LOCK) 기능을 추가했다. 액정 창을 통해 해당 가맹점에서 가장 많이 할인되는 카드를 선택할 수 있다. 포인트 적립까지 한번에 해결한다. 이 카드는 전자기기 형태로 구현되기 때문에 별도 충전 기능이 필요하다.

LG페이는 MS 외에 IC결제를 지원할 방침이지만, 상반기 출시되는 LG페이는 MS거래만 우선 지원하는 것으로 가닥을 잡았다.

LG전자 측은 이와 관련 “LG페이 출시 일자와 협력사는 공개할 수 없다”고 밝혔다.

The Korean newspaper ETNews have leaked photos of an LG Pay card. Inside a generic credit card looking terminal are display, charging port, and two navigation keys. You will first have too add your existing credit card to the terminal, and choose between them to pay. The card can also be locked to prevent unintentional input, which can be seen through the mini display on the right hand side of the black 'whitecard'.

Aside from having to carry an additional card to replace your cards, a noticeable downside of the LG's payment system seems to be the requirement for charging. Charging will be done through the visible terminal on the left side with the cradle planned to be shipped with the device.

At the beginning, the card will only be accepted from magnetic stripe enabled readers although it shouldn't be a problem with its majority presence. LG plans to add up IC capability to it, though nothing is confirmed for now.
